Curtin University Malaysia organized “International Conference on Green Energy, Computing and Sustainable Technology (GECOST 2021)” in collaboration with IEEE Malaysia Comsoc & VTS Joint Chapter on 7-9 July 2021. The aim of the GECOST 2021 is to serve as a forum for engineers, researchers, and specialists from academia, research centers, and industry worldwide to discuss and present the latest developments and applications related to the challenges of securing green and clean energy sources for the 21st century to protect the environment. GECOST main areas of interest include but not limited to Green Computing and Security, Green Communications, Networks, and Signal Processing, Intelligent Embedded Systems and Analytics, Green Energy and Power System, Smart Grid, Sensors, Green Materials, Alternative Energy and Control Process.

Sivaranjini Sivaraman is a final year student of Bachelor of Computer Science programme at Manipal International University. She was a presenter in “International Conference on Green Energy, Computing and Sustainable Technology (GECOST 2021)” with a research purpose on ADVANCES IN TECHNOLOGY FOR PET TRACKER SENSING SYSTEMS. Her research interest is about the wearable technology, mobile application and embedded system.

This project aims to create a pet tracker that will inform pet owners about their pets' whereabouts and help reduce the number of lost pets. Additionally, holding the pets helps the owner overcome their fear of losing them. A GPS sensor will be attached to the pet's collar, and the owner will monitor their pet using the pet tracker smartphone application. The pet collar's sensor will communicate the pet's location to the mobile app. Only the pet owner can use the mobile application to track their pet. This application is developed by analyzing and compiling data from tracking systems. Additionally, it addresses a critical area in which progress is required to ensure that solutions are more applicable and accurate in real-world settings
