Devasagayam John Rakshys is a computer engineering final year undergraduate. He was a virtual presenter at the 2020 18th IEEE Research and Development Student Conference (SCOReD), UTHM Johor in Malaysia. His presentation deals with a machine vision for emotional awareness and the identification of vital signs. This paper proposes an intelligent integrated patient monitoring device that senses the emotional and pulse levels of the patient through facial recognition algorithms, heartbeat and temperature sensors automatically. A Raspberry Pi and NodeMCU are used to collect patient data as client nodes. These data are then transmitted in real-time to an IoT cloud. This monitoring system allows vital patients to receive urgent treatment without having to attend to the staff 24 hours a day. This device provides medical personnel with a quicker response to care in critical times.
